Suzi & Shai 29.12.2018 & 30.12.2018
reception: Anocht Restaurant, Kilkenny City
Shai and Suzi met in Melbourne in December 2015. Coincidentally they both moved to Australia in 2011, Shai from Durban, South Africa and Suzi from Kilkenny. Fate, in the form of Tinder, did not have their paths cross until December 2015 but the couple have been inseparable since their first date at the driving range. Shai popped the big question two years later, just hours before they both boarded a flight back to South Africa to meet all of his family and friends for Christmas 2017. With December such a significant month in their relationship they started planninga December wedding in Ireland for 2018. As both families had never met before, Suzi and Shai decided to have a small wedding ceremony combining both cultures on the 29th and a larger, more 'Irish' wedding on the 30th. Family involvement was key to the wedding success with both families preparing a feast for the first party and this was held at a house hired through Air BnB just a few kilometres outside Kilkenny.
Our photographer for both days was the very talented Daragh McCann of Stargaze Photography who captured the days perfectly. Daragh was very professional, excellent to communicate ideas and listen to what the bridal party wanted.
The second days festivities were hosted by the amazing people of Anocht in Kilkenny. Entertainmentwas provided by Tropical Storm and Flog the Dog with both bands ensuring nobody left the dance floor! Turnaround time of receiving the pictures was also super quick. Noeleen Doheny, the brides sister, created the exquisite electronic invites, designed the interactive website and used her creative flair throughout the two days to make sure that the aesthetics all tied together beautifully.
